For Rent: Furnished 2-Bedroom Apartment with Awesome Terrace in El Peñon

in Accommodation/Plan to stay/Rent / buy apartment

Just behind the new 5-Star hotel project, La Sagrada Familia in barrio El Peñon, lies the Maria Jimena building, where I am pleased to offer this spacious 140 m2, 2-bedroom apartment.

El Peñon is arguably the best location for visitors in Cali. It’s in middle of the upscale zona rosa and hotel district with more than 40 dining options, several bars, clubs, cocktail lounges and most of the city’s main attractions within walking distance, assure you’ll never get bored.

The Apartment

This classic and well-lit apartment has 2 bedrooms, both with queen beds, and 2,5 bathrooms with nice and hot water. The master bedroom has access to a patio which provides for a nice breeze at night.

The kitchen is recently remodeled and fully stocked.

The living room and dining room connect and have access to the terrace.

A 5 MB internet connection is at your service – perfect for working, streaming, downloading, etc.

Guest Access

Once you rent it, the entire space is your yours. Treat it like home, but most importantly, feel like home. Invite friends over and have fun.. all I ask is that you are considerate to the neighbors.

The Neighborhood

El Peñon is awesome and so is the location of this apartment. It’s the premium hotel district in Cali and for very obvious reasons:

It’s less than one block from the park where locals play music and sing every night. Every Sunday, local artists exhibit their work around the park.

Within a 3 block radius, you will find more than 40 dining options, 10 bars and cocktail lounges, artisanal ice cream shops, bakeries and coffee shops. The new Bogotá Beer Company brewpub just opened half a block away.

A supermarket and a pharmacy are also just around the corner, and most of the city’s sights can be reached by foot, like the Cali Cat park, The Historic Downtown, San Antonio, The Cali Zoo, Museo La Tertulia and the hike up to Cali’s Three Crosses.

Getting Around

Public buses pass by just outside the main door. The city has 20.000+ taxis and more than 1.000 Ubers, all if which cost $2-4 dollars to take you almost anywhere you’d wish to go.

House Rules

I don’t like rules, so let’s keep it simple…

No smoking
Not suitable for pets

No drugs, please. And out of respect to the neighbors, please no loud parties after midnight.

That’s it!

The minimum contract for this unit is 3 months due to building rules.

    • Hi Matthew,

It’s $2.500.000 pesos per month, which equals about $835 dollar, so yes, that comes to about $2500 dollars for the three months 🙂

  1. Hi, I shall be coming to Cali in August 2017. I was looking for a decent priced and furnished apartment of 1/2 bed rooms within 1.000,000 COP/CO$ as the monthly rental. I you have any place to show me, I will be of great help. I shall pay the charges accordingly during the rental agreement. I shall be in Cali for a year at least, so kindly look for places which are reasonable and in good locations.

    • Sorry Mohammad, I do not have anything in that price range, but you may get lucky by knocking doors in San Antonio.

  2. Hi,

I’m interested in your apartment. I have been enjoying your blog over the last few months, and have been in and out of San Antonio and El Penon hotels since October. My Calena girlfriend wants to move in to an apartment as she lives with her family now.

    Thank you,

    Mike Zinsley
